Men’s Guide to Packing

Thank goodness, it’s spring, can you believe it? So, apart from planning out our summer holidays, it’s time to stop for a moment and think about all the things that we might need for our spring break. Spring breaks are extremely popular and, even though they don’t last for many days, they’re a great way to celebrate spring and summer, well, basically the hot weather. But, what are the essentials that every man needs to have with him? Take a look at this list of the must-have items for any spring break and may it serve you as a checklist!
Skincare
Obviously, the most important thing that you need to have is a small bag of all the skincare necessities. Remember that you need to take extra care of your skin, mostly because of the season change, but also because the weather tends to be hotter. Apart from the regular moisturizer and cleanser that you need, make sure to bring your beard kit (if you like growing your facial hair). The weather is hotter, which can take its toll on the beard, so opting for a good beard oil and good shaving products is a must. Also, don’t forget the products that you might need for hair styling.
Clothes
Next up, the clothes. Since you’re going on a spring break, you will need all of your spring clothes, such as shorts, t-shirts and shirts. In order not to pack your suitcase with more clothes than you actually need, it would be an excellent idea if you made outfit plans, and simply bring them. Of course, don’t forget to include something that’s long-sleeved and a pair of jeans or two, as the night might get chilly because it’s spring. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, right?
Shoes
Many make the mistake and not think carefully about the shoe choice, thus forgetting to bring something that’s very much needed. The first thing that you need to have is a pair of comfortable shoes, as you will probably do a lot of walking around. However, since you never know if it’s going to be extremely hot or not (spring can surprise us in many ways!), it would be good to have a pair of shoes which is both comfortable and which you can wear if the weather is nice. Crocs are an excellent option, and the good thing is that you can always buy Crocs online so you don’t have to waste time going and getting them yourself. Make sure that you also have flip-flops, just in case, as you never know if you’re going to hit a swimming pool or take a dive in the sea (depending on the destination you’re going to).
Accessories
As far as the accessories are concerned, think in advance about all the things you might need. It’s very probable that you will forget something that you will need, so make sure that you start planning out your “accessories” list a couple of weeks prior your trip. This list will include books or anything that will make your trip a much more comfortable one, and gadgets that you might need at your destination, such as Bluetooth speakers, power banks and such. If you’re going with your friends and you want to have one quiet night in, you might want to bring a board game such as Monopoly – it’s very engaging, it lasts long and is super fun.
Packing for any holiday can sometimes be nerve-wrecking, but everything’s easier when you plan everything in advance or when you know what to focus on. So, try to make a check list two weeks before your trip, and slowly pack your things during those two weeks. Also, planning your outfits in advance will make sure that you don’t forget anything. Good luck!
