5 Easier Ways to Be a Healthy Man

Even though we cannot unanimously decide if the ending of Game of Thrones was amazing or a complete waste of time, but we can unanimously decide that we should be healthier. That’s right, this resolution can find its way into every single New Year’s resolutions list, so it is always high time we did something about that. Now that Christmas is just around the corner (it is very painful to say that bearing in mind that summer has just passed), we’ll have to come up with new resolutions. In order to free some space from all the wishes that we have, these are some of the ways in which you can become a healthier man. Take a look:
1. Do not forget your breakfast and lunch
Eating is very important for every one of us to get through the day, but it is not only eating, it is what we eat and when we eat it. This being said, make sure that you always eat your breakfast within an hour of waking up. This is the time when your body needs fluids and food to start its engines, and even though it will do with almost any food, it would be best to give it some protein which it will use as fuel. Speaking of lunch, you can also choose anything you want, but it is very important not to let more than five hours pass between your breakfast and lunch. Staying hungry for a lot of time and then overeating is one of the biggest mistakes that you could make.
2. Hydration is important
Do you think that any article including the words “how” and “healthy” can be complete without the tip of drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated? It seems that this has become quite a popular subject, with even Twitter accounts whose goal is to remind you to stay hydrated. However, even though this is something that we do on autopilot, many of us forget to stay hydrated during the day. Bear in mind that it is not only water that you should drink, but other drinks that will be good for you, such as, for example, tea. This is a great beverage that can boost your motivation, provide you with just enough caffeine, and help you get through the day. In order to be sure you always have tea, and to save some extra money, it would be great if you found your favorite flavor and opted for the wholesale tea options that will make you always have tea in the house. You might think this is unnecessary or unimportant at the moment, but different teas have different benefits, and the sooner you realize that, the better.
3. Use vinegar
Now something completely random – no matter what you eat, make it a bit tastier with just a bit of vinegar. This is what your body needs as the acetic acid interferes with the enzymes that break down carbohydrates in your body. Vinegar is the ingredient that will keep your blood sugar levels intact.
4. Have flowers on the table
This is not only connected to the decoration of your living room or your kitchen – it is connected to your general health. Having fresh flowers on your breakfast table is not only pretty in pictures or in hotels, it is definitely something that you might want to be doing every weekend or twice a week. This is what will make you a morning person, and morning people are always more energetic and healthier than others. If you also participate in Movember this year, it will be quite sexy for your neighbors to see you all bearded having breakfast in front of flowers. Oh, their ovaries!
5. The 60-second rule
Being healthy also means making healthy decisions that will affect your life and happiness in a better way. Since we all tend to make rash decisions, it is high time we incorporated the 60-second rule in our routine. Namely, anytime you are facing a very difficult decision that you want to make, take 60 seconds before you state your decision. During those 60 seconds, think if it worth it, if there is some other way around the problem and generally, think about the consequences of the decision. Do not listen to anyone else during these 60 seconds but yourself. This is the time when you will be told (by you) what to do.
Staying healthy is our #1 goal. Not money, not love, not jobs. It is health, as if you don’t have health, you have nothing. So do your best to come up with a healthy routine for the day. It is easier said than done, but it is definitely worth it. Good luck!
